1. Installing the Initia Wallet

To interact with the Initia testnet, the first step is to install the official Initia wallet. While the testnet is accessible via both the Initia and Keplr wallets, we recommend using the Initia wallet for a better experience.

• You will be redirected to the #faucet-verified channel to complete a captcha.
• You will then receive the “Faucet Verified” role.

The 6 Steps to Mint Your Jennie

To begin your journey with Jennie, you need to complete 6 special tasks. Each task allows you to collect a part of Jennie, and once all tasks are completed, you can combine these parts to create an adorable Baby Jennie NFT.

1. Claiming Faucet Tokens:

• Normally, this step is already completed. If not, click on “faucet” directly. This step familiarizes you with the process of requesting testnet tokens, which is essential for future transactions.

2. Buying an Initia Username:

• Use your faucet tokens to acquire a unique username on Initia. This simplifies your transactions and interactions on the platform by replacing complex addresses with an easy-to-remember name. You can choose the number of years for registration, similar to a domain name.

3. Swapping Tokens:

• Use the swap feature to exchange 1 INIT token for USDC, ETH, or TIA. This step introduces you to token exchanges on the platform.

4. Staking INIT with a Validator:

• Stake your INIT tokens with a validator to help secure the network and earn rewards. Choose a validator and delegate your tokens for this step.
• 🚨 Don’t stake all your tokens in this step; keep some for the next step.

5. Staking INIT LP with a Validator:

• Participate in staking INIT Liquidity Pool (LP) tokens with a validator. This step helps contribute to the network’s liquidity while earning additional rewards. LP rewards are often more attractive.

6. Claiming Staking Rewards:

• After staking your tokens, claim your staking rewards. This shows you how to harvest the benefits of actively participating in the network’s security and liquidity.

By completing these 6 steps, you will gather the necessary pieces to mint your Baby Jennie NFT. This journey helps you familiarize yourself with various Initia features while having fun and revisiting the nostalgia of Tamagotchis.

Accumulating and Investing XP

Earn Experience Points (XP) by completing tasks on the blockchain. Use these XP to feed your Jennie. There are three types of food:

• Canned Food (1 heart) 🥫
• Good Lunch (3 hearts) 🍱
• Filet Mignon (5 hearts) 🥩

You can feed your Jennie once a week. Plan carefully to optimize your Jennie’s growth during the 8-week testnet.

Using the Food Store

In the Food Store, you can exchange your XP for food using three casino-style machines:

• Common: 200 XP
• Rare: 700 XP
• Legendary: 1700 XP

Note: While there is no guarantee, the probability of getting better food is higher with the “Legendary” machine.

Chef Jennie’s Kitchen: Trade and Upgrade

Even if luck isn’t on your side, don’t worry! You can use Upgrade Food to ensure every effort counts in taking care of your Jennie.

• Upgrade Food: If you only get Canned Food, it’s not a problem. You can trade 10 Canned Food for a “Good Lunch” and 5 “Good Lunch” for a Filet Mignon.
• Frequency: Jennie can only be fed once every 7 days. This requires careful planning to optimize your pet’s growth.
• Ranking: Feeding Jennie certain foods can significantly improve your ranking.

Referral System

The referrer (the person who sends a code) does not earn 50 XP for each referral. Instead, the referred user (the person using the code) gets 50 XP. The referrer will receive 5% of the XP earned by the referred users if they complete secret tasks during the 8-week testnet.
